Dog Content Rules

The rules for the maintenance of domestic animals in the city of Taganroga, approved by Decision No. 563 of the City Duma of Taganroga, which establishes the following rights and obligations of animal owners:

1. Any animal is the property of the owner and, as any property, is protected by law.

2. An animal may be removed from the owner by decision of the court or otherwise in cases prescribed by the law in force.

3. The carriage of animals can be carried out by all modes of transport provided that the rules of carriage in these modes and under conditions which exclude passengers ' concerns are met. The dogs should be in the wardrobe and on a short leash.

4. It is permitted to house livestock and birds in private homes in specially adapted economic structures located at least 4 metres from the border of the neighbouring house and 7 metres from the entrance to the dwelling.

5. In the event of an illness or suspicion of an animal infectious disease, the animal owner must immediately contact the veterinary doctor and scrupulously comply with the recommendations of the survey specialist.

6. An animal owner is obliged to maintain it in accordance with his biological characteristics, to treat animals humanely, not to leave them unguarded, without food and water, in the event of an animal disease, to use veterinary care in time, to maintain the sanitary state of the animal and adjacent area.

7. An animal owner must take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of surrounding people and animals.

8. The dog walk is performed by his owner in specially designated locations designated by the Taganrog City Administration for dog walks, or on specially equipped dog walkers and distractions.

9. The owner has the right to leave his dog tied on a short leash and in a mosquito near public places (magazine, pharmacy, polyclinic, etc.) during their visit, while taking measures to ensure the safety of the surrounding people.
